To use the Kvarn X, you need to create an account
1. Go to "Sign up" or click here.
2. Select authentication as a personal customer or corporate customer
3. Log in using your bank ID (Nordic customers)
4. Enter your up-to-date details in the customer information form, accept the terms and conditions and submit the form
5. Your account is now open (personal customer)
6. Corporate customers will receive an email confirmation of successful registration and a link to log in for Kvarn X when (on weekdays, this is usually within 48 hours)
7. Make a instant deposit to and you are ready to start trading
The corporate client will also need to provide the company and its representative's contact details, ultimate beneficial owners (UBO) and the documents below to complete the registration successfully:
● Certificate of registration (max. 3 months old)
● Articles of association
● Description of the ownership structure of the company (free-form)
● Power of attorney or document proving the right of representation (e.g. resolution of a board meeting)
During the onboarding, we will ask you to provide us with some background information about you as required by law. These include information on your nationality, tax residence and financial situation.
Transferring crypto funds is quick and easy, but requires some precision.
Sending crypto assets to the wrong wallet address or with incomplete information may result in the permanent loss of the funds.
● Always check that the addresses you use for the transfer are valid and correct
● Make sure that the wallets you use for the transfer are on the same blockchain (sending and receiving wallets)
● Attach all the necessary identification information to the transfer

Transferring crypto assets to Kvarn X service
Cryptocurrency transfers are irreversible by nature, so before you make a transfer, please check that the address is correct and ensure that you transfer the correct cryptocurrency to the intended address and include all the identification information required for the transfer. For example, you cannot transfer ether to a bitcoin address, and vice versa. If you are making a cryptocurrency transfer for the first time or transferring a large amount of assets at once, we recommend that you always do a test transfer first to verify the functionality of the address.
When transferring crypto funds to Kvarn X service for the first time, you will need to create portfolio and blockchain-specific cryptocurrency wallet addresses where the transfers of crypto assets will take place. Creating addresses in Kvarn X service is quick and easy by clicking on the “Create address” button.
Please note that when receiving transfers from external addresses, there are wallet- and blockchain-specific differences in processing times. We will record the transfers to your account once they have received the necessary confirmations in the blockchain. The transfers can be viewed in the “Transactions” tab.
Also note that when transferring crypto funds, it is important to save all the necessary information (basic transaction details, acquisition prices, and other required information) for tax reporting purposes. The user is personally responsible for reporting any gains and losses from the disposal of cryptocurrencies to the tax authority in an appropriate manner.
In Kvarn X you can set the acquisition price for transferred crypto funds. This allows for real-time monitoring of the portfolio, accurate calculation and reporting of profits and losses, and ensures up-to-date and accurate accounting.
We recommend transferring cryptocurrencies to the service in batches corresponding to the original acquisition, if you want to specify multiple different acquisition prices for transferred holdings and thus maintain accounting continuity. Note that to properly maintain accounting continuity, acquisition prices must be correctly entered for each original batch.

Transferring crypto assets from Kvarn X service
Currently you can transfer bitcoin and ether from the Kvarn X service to an external cryptocurrency address. The maximum transfer limits via the platform are 0,5 BTC and 5 ETH. If you wish to transfer other cryptocurrencies or larger amounts out of the service, please contact our customer service with a support request via the platform.
The secure custody and transfer of crypto assets is our utmost priority. Because of that, transferring the crypto assets out of Kvarn X is only enabled upon your request. All addresses in Kvarn X service are also whitelisted to maximize the security of your assets.
How to create and whitelist withdrawal addresses:
● Contact our customer service with a support request via the platform and inform that you want to activate the withdrawal addresses
● After activation a section “Create whitelisted withdrawal addresses”will appear under the “Transfers” tab
● Select a cryptocurrency for which you want to create a withdrawal address
● Enter the withdrawal address and any required additional information in the relevant fields
● Double-check that the withdrawal address and additional information you have entered are correct and click “Add address”
● Once the address has been created and whitelisted, the address will appear in the “Whitelisted withdrawal addresses” section
The whitelisting process will be completed within 24 hours on weekdays.
Kvarn X supports one whitelisted address for each cryptocurrency at a time. If you wish to change the whitelisted address, please contact our customer service with a support request via the platform.
When creating withdrawal addresses, please check carefully that the wallets you are using for the transfer (sending and receiving wallets) are running on the same blockchain. Sending cryptocurrency to the wrong wallet or with incomplete information may result in the permanent loss of the funds sent. Some cryptocurrencies, such as XLM and XRP, require a unique identifier (Tag/Memo) in addition to the wallet address when making transfers. This unique identifier shall be saved when creating and whitelisting new withdrawal addresses.
How to make a withdrawal request to a whitelisted cryptocurrency address:
● Go to the “Transfers” tab
● In the “Whitelisted withdrawal addresses” section, you will find all created and whitelisted withdrawal addresses
● Click on “Withdraw”
● The window that opens, shows the portfolio from which the withdrawal will be made. The window also shows the cryptocurrency you are transferring, your holdings and the address to which you are transferring the cryptocurrency
● Enter the amount of cryptocurrency you want to withdraw in the field provided, and you can preview the estimated transfer cost at the time of withdrawal
● Double-check the correctness of the withdrawal address and any additional informationBy clicking on “Withdraw” you accept and initiate the irrevocable withdrawal order
Withdrawal requests will be processed within 24 hours on weekdays.
Cryptocurrency transfers are subject to a blockchain-specific transfer fee. In the withdrawal window, you can preview the estimated transfer fee per cryptocurrency at the time of withdrawal. The transfer fee is charged from the amount to be withdrawn except for ERC20 tokens where the transfer fee is added to the amount to be withdrawn.
When withdrawing ERC20 tokens from the Kvarn X service, the transfer fee is charged in euros. Please note that to execute the withdrawal, you must have sufficient euro funds in your portfolio to cover the withdrawal cost.
Orders can be placed in the "Trading" and "Holdings" tabs. On the Trading tab you can see the buy and sell prices of all the crypto assets invested in real time and access more detailed information about the assets by clicking on the "Details" button. The detailed information shows the purchase values and market values of all the assets in the portfolio, as well as the historical price data. You can also access the individual home pages of each crypto project. Here are instructions on how to execute your orders in practice.
Buy order
● Go to the "Trading" tab
● Select the instrument you wish to buy
● Click "Buy"
● The window that opens shows the portfolio (as a client, you may have more than one portfolio) to which the purchase is being made. The window also shows the minimum and maximum number (pcs) that the trade order can be executed for, the estimated trading costs (min. €1) and the total initial buy order amount in euros
● By clicking the "Buy" button at the bottom of the window, the trade will be forwarded for execution
● Once the trade has been executed, a window will open displaying the details of the executed order
● If the order is not executed, you will be notified and you can try to re-enter the order as you wish
● If you do not wish to execute the buy order, you can exit the screen by clicking on the "tick" button in the top right-hand corner
● The details of the completed transaction will be generated in the "Transactions" tab, where you can also download the receipt of the order
● Your trade will be updated in the "Holdings" tab, where you will see a summary of all the holdings in your portfolio
● From the "Reports" tab, you will find comprehensive reports on transactions, holdings, performance history, profits and losses. The reports are available for download in pdf/excel format. If custom reports are needed, please contact your Kvarn Wealth Manager
Sell order
● Go to the “Holdings” tab (you can also place sell orders on the "Trading" tab)
● Select the instrument you wish to sell
● Click "Sell"
● The window that opens shows from which portfolio (you may have more than one portfolio) assets are being sold. The window also shows the minimum and maximum number (pcs) that the order can be executed for, the estimated trading costs (min. €1) and the total amount of the initial sell order in fiat currency
● By clicking on the "Sell" button at the bottom of the window, the trade will be forwarded for execution
● The "Sell all" function allows you to sell all your holdings of the asset in one order, provided that the maximum number (pcs) that the trade order can be executed for is not exceeded
● The window that opens after the trade has been executed shows the details of the executed orderIf the order is not executed, you will be notified and you can try to re-enter the order as you wish
● If you do not wish to complete the order, you can exit the screen by clicking on the "tick (x)" button in the top right-hand corner
● The details of the completed transaction can be seen in the "Transactions" tab, where you can download the order receipt
● Your trade will be updated in the "Holdings" tab, where you will see a summary of all the holdings in your portfolio
● From the "Reports" tab, you will find comprehensive reports on transactions, holdings, performance history, profits and losses. The reports are available for download in pdf/excel format. If custom reports are needed, please contact your Kvarn Wealth Manager

How do I start staking on Kvarn X?
● Buy and/or hold the asset you wish to stake
● Go to the “Holdings” tab
● Select your preferred asset
● Choose the amount
● Accept the staking terms and the risk notification
● Click on “Stake” to give a staking instruction
You can stake your crypto at any time but we process staking instructions once a week, on Tuesdays. Successful staking entitles you to a weekly staking reward in accordance with the staking terms. Check the available assets for staking on Kvarn X here.
To unstake and redeem your staked assets
● Go to the “Holdings” tab
● Select the asset you wish to unstake
● Click on “Unstake”
You can request to unstake anytime, but you will not be able to sell or transfer your staked assets until the redemption process is complete. This could take from 1-4 weeks, depending on the staked asset and when you have started staking. We process redemptions once a month, on the first Tuesday of each month.
You login and authenticate to the service using your personal bank ID authentication. For customers with Nordic bank IDs, bank ID authentication is the recommended method of authentication. If an alternative authentication method with username and password is used, the user will also be asked to enable two-factor authentication (2FA). Two-factor authentication requires the use of a dedicated application, such as Google Authenticator. The application can be downloaded from Apple app store or Google Play. The first time you log in to Kvarn X after the initial authentication and registration process, you will be asked to enable two-factor authentication.
Financial service providers are legally obliged to identify and know their customers. During your onboarding process, we will ask you some personal information and update your information regularly. Among other things, we will ask you about your nationality, tax residency and the origin of the funds used for investing. The purpose of these questions is to ensure that your transactions are safe and secure, to prevent abuse and to comply with the requirements of anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing regulations. Although the customer due diligence questions are based on a legal obligation, they are also first and foremost in the customer's interest.

Referral rewards are typically taxable income for the recipient. Instant deposit
● Once logged in, select "Instant deposit" from the drop-down menu in the top right-hand corner.
● In the window that opens, select the amount of deposit you wish to transfer to the service.
● Click on "Deposit" to proceed to the first step of the bank authentication process. Select the bank where your bank account or the bank account of the entity you represent is held.
● The system will direct you to authenticate using your online banking credentials.
● After authentication, select the account from which you will transfer funds to the service.
● Once you have selected an account, you will be redirected to the online bank of your choice to authenticate, and then you can accept the transfer
● The system will redirect you back to Kvarn X
● The deposit will be recorded in your transaction history and will be visible in your account under "Available funds”
Deposit by bank transfer
● Once logged into the service, select "Bank deposit" from the drop-down menu in the top right-hand corner
● A window will open with the information required for the transfer, which you can copy and paste directly into your online bank payment details
● In your own online bank, the "New payment" function is used to make a payment to Kvarn X according to the information in the window
● Note: The number series in the "Message field" is not a reference number. The number must be included in the "Message" field in the online bank, so that the transfer is routed to your Kvarn X account
● Once you have made the transfer in your online bank, the transfer will appear in your Kvarn X account within 1-3 business days
If you have transferred or have had funds transferred to your Kvarn X account, you can manually set the original acquisition price for the transferred batches.This allows for real-time monitoring of the portfolio, accurate calculation and reporting of profits and losses, and ensures up-to-date and accurate accounting
● Go to “Transactions” and click on the transfer event (“Transfer in”), for which you want to set the acquisition price. You can search for transfers from different time periods by changing the dates in the top right corner
● In the view, you can see the details of the batch that has been transferred
● Update the acquisition price under “Price” in the “Details” section. Instead of the acquisition price, the deemed acquisition cost in accordance with the instructions of the tax authorities can be used (Finnish tax resident only). If the entered acquisition price data needs to be corrected afterwards, the data can be updated again
Market order
A market order is a command to buy or sell an asset at the price currently available on the market, and is the most basic type of trading order, but in some cases also the most risky type of order. Market orders are designed to be executed immediately, but they do not guarantee a price. A market buy order will execute at the nearest ask price (what someone is willing to sell for) and a market sell order will execute at the nearest bid price (what someone is willing to buy for).
Limit order
A limit order is a command to buy or sell an asset at a specific price — or better if possible. A limit buy order is executed at the limit price (maximum price) or lower, while a limit sell order is executed at the limit price (minimum price) or higher. However, limit orders are not guaranteed to execute. A limit order will only be filled if the market price of the asset reaches the limit price. Although limit orders don’t guarantee that your order will be fulfilled, they are useful because they can ensure that you do not pay more (buy) or receive less (sell) than a specific set price.
Note: When placing limit buy orders the limit price must be below the current market price and in limit sell orders the limit price must be above the current market price. If the limit price you submit is not consistent with these conventions, the order will be executed immediately as a market order.
● Select "Withdraw" from the dropdown menu in the top right corner
● In the pop-up window, choose the portfolio from which you want to make the withdrawal
● Select the account from which the withdrawal will be made. You will see the available fiat balance for that account.
● Enter the amount you wish to withdraw from the service in the field "Withdrawal Amount EUR."
● By clicking "Withdraw," you will receive a notification confirming a successful withdrawal request. Withdrawal orders are processed daily, and the funds will typically appear in your designated account within 1-3 banking days.
● The withdrawal request will be logged in the "Orders" tab under the approved status.
● You can cancel the withdrawal order from the "Orders" tab by clicking the green icon and selecting "Yes, cancel" from the dropdown menu.
