The Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA) has granted Kvarn Investment Services Oy an investment services licence in accordance with the Investment Services Act, enabling the company to provide investment services. The company plans to launch its services during the second quarter of the year through its next-generation investment platform, Kvarn X.
With this licence, Kvarn Investment Services will be able to offer investors a digital and user-friendly gateway to a range of investment instruments. Through the Kvarn X platform, investors can make decisions effortlessly and efficiently, supported by intuitive applications. The platform will be continuously developed, with its investment selection expanding in phases.
The investment landscape is transforming. Younger generations of investors, in particular, expect clear and digital solutions that provide direct access to a diverse range of asset classes and investment products. Moreover, in the coming decades, these investors will manage an unprecedented amount of wealth as intergenerational transfers of investment assets reach historic levels. This shift will reshape investment behaviour, with younger investors placing greater emphasis on digital accessibility, transparency, and community-driven investing. Kvarn Investment Services is responding to this demand by offering a modern, user-centric investment experience that makes investing simpler and more inclusive.
Kvarn Investment Services will provide access to a selection of both locally and globally leading fund managers and investment products through its network of partners. The product range will be expanded gradually, ensuring that users are continuously presented with new investment opportunities. The objective is to democratise investing and offer next-generation investment services that combine transparency, efficiency, and versatility.
“The investment services market has remained largely unchanged since the first wave of digitalisation and consolidation in the early 2000s. In recent years, global investment trends have increasingly steered users towards super apps, which offer cost-effective access to markets and asset classes on a global scale. User-centric development and the normalisation of investing are key shifts that Kvarn Investment Services is addressing. Our ambition is to become a major player in Northern Europe,” says Joonas Järvinen, CEO of Kvarn Investment Services.
The Kvarn team consists of experienced professionals from the finance, technology, and fintech sectors, combining extensive expertise with innovative thinking. The company’s goal is to provide clients with advanced and user-friendly investment solutions that seamlessly integrate digital convenience with deep market insight.
